Rick Marshall is an award-winning writer, editor, blogger, photographer, and all-purpose editorial content manager currently based in New York, NY.

As a writer, he reports on everything from local and national politics to pop culture and media trends, and regularly provides news, features, recurring columns, and reviews for various outlets such as MTV News, Independent Film Channel (IFC), and Time.

As an editor, he provides copy and content editing, content management, and production for online outlets, print publications, and literary projects. Most recently, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the MTV News blog Splash Page, providing deadline-driven entertainment industry news and original features.

In 2006, Rick was named “Writer of the Year” by the New York Press Association, and his coverage of Education, Health Care and Science, Environmental Issues, and Business, Financial and Economic News was cited in NYPA’s 2006 and 2007 awards.
